On the other hand, it’s entirely possible that the name of the company and its eponymous website is about who, not what is a wealthy affiliate (WA).

The company was founded by two young Canadian men who met in college, or as they refer to it in Canada, university. Their hopes of becoming wealthy affiliates by engaging in the business of affiliate marketing is my best guess for why and how the company’s and website’s name were born.

Before we begin, let me say this:Are you familiar with the story about the tortoise and the hare? Do you remember who won in the end?

As a senior citizen myself, I am clearly more the tortoise than the hare, both in a literal and figurative sense. Furthermore, for much of my life, I’ve acted like the hare but have learned through the school of hard knocks that being the tortoise is the better way to go in the long run.

So, if you’re looking for a way to make money quickly, you’re probably not in the right place. It’s not to say it’s impossible, but I want to be clear, the process I’m going to describe takes time, perhaps a lot of it.

In fact, the cost of WA’s premium membership is the same now as it was when I began in 2015. It has never increased in price.

Name one other thing that hasn’t increased in price since 2015. I bet you can’t or, you will at least be hard-pressed to find something.

There have been two more tiers added that cost more but you get more for them. 

One thing that has always rubbed me the wrong way about many companies is the constant badgering to upsell.

Upselling is non-existent at WA.

However, I need to be clear about something:There is a lot to learn.

I’ve been able to get all the answers I need to succeed at WA.

The problem is, there is so much information, it can be overwhelming. Information overload can be a problem and a deterrent. 

WA is a pay-it-forward community. There is always someone who will help if you ask for it.

The potential problem lies in the fact that everyone is different. It’s good to be open minded and to gather information from a variety of sources but that can sometimes lead to confusion.

What I’m saying is, you shouldn’t try to follow too many leaders.
